Dress according to your personal needs & comfort. Wear simple, stretchable clothing that does not limit your range of motion. Mostly, we are going to love you for YOU, so dress for your own needs.
Shoes are not allowed in the yoga room, and we don’t recommend wearing any socks during practice.
Just yourself & anything that supports your practice.
We do have yoga mats, blocks, straps, and other props available for use. You are always welcome to bring your own.
We do not sell bottled water, but have a bottle refilling station.
Because we believe in the power of community: All students MUST provide proof of full Covid-19 vaccination or wear a mask. Please plan accordingly. Vaccine confirmation will remain saved on your account so you do not need to show your vaccine card each class.
Our classes are designed to be “all levels,” meaning, we make sure everyone can feel included and empowered. We truly believe that all that is required is a teeny bit of courage, an open mind, and the ability to laugh at yourself. That being said, we also know that new, new’ish, or returning students can feel doubtful. Try a foundations class, as that is where we start with the basics, go at a slower pace, and focus on alignment. If you are looking to relax and not exert yourself, come to a yin practice.
If you get tired, rest. It’s part of the process, and since you are here to nurture yourself, listen to what your body tells you. Lie down or sit in a comfortable position when you need to rest. The only reaction you might hear from us is, “Would you like a blanket?”
We value a tidy yoga space, so we have a safe place for you to put keys, phones, and bags.
That depends. What did your doctor/physical therapist/provider say?
While we’d like to tell you that yoga will always heal you, we simply can’t make those kinds of promises. Many students find yoga to be a helpful resource when working through an injury but it depends on the specifics and severity. Please consult with your doctor/physical therapist/bodyworker and let your teacher know what is going on so that we can work through any necessary modifications for class.
We are here to help, but we are not qualified to diagnose any injuries or illness so your physician and your own intuition are the first lines of defense when working with an injury.
Rise and Shine limits class size to 12 students. We have adequate break time between classes for extended cleaning and open airflow through our doors and windows. Mats and props are sanitised at the end of each class.
Before entering the class space, we ask that each student stop by our hands-free temperature taking station.
Our teachers and staff are fully vaccinated and boosted. Students must provide proof of full Covid-19 vaccination or wear a mask. Please plan accordingly. Vaccine confirmation will remain saved on your account so you do not need to show your vaccine card each class.
